The Sowers Club is resourcing the Great Commission by providing missionary apprenticeships, and practical assistance to missionaries who are under the Sowers Club’s care. Our 2020 Vision is to ‘Recruit, Equip and Mobilize 1000 missionaries by the year 2020′, and you can help us to fulfill it!
God placed it in the heart of the Beemers’ to provide an avenue for people to join their team. Realizing that many Christians want to support a missionary but do not know how, who, how much, or how often, they started the The Sowers Club. One goal of the Sowers Club is to educate believers about how to support missionaries.
The Sowers Club is more than just a name, it is a Godly principle. The Bible tells us that we reap what we sow. If you sow the Word of God, you reap the promises of the Word.
A farmer must do certain things in order to see the seed bear fruit. We too must sow our seed in certain ways:
First, we must sow in faith, believing to receive a harvest so that we can continue to multiply our seed.
God has established the law of sowing and reaping and when we come in line with this law we should expect it to work on our behalf. A farmer sows the seed knowing that if he takes good care of it, fertilizing and watering it, it will grow and produce a harvest many times that which was sown.
Spiritually, we plant our seed knowing that when we water it with the Word of God, by speaking the Word, it will produce a harvest many times that sown. Why? So we can have more seed to sow the next time and promote the gospel even more.
II Corinthians 9:10-11 in the Living Bible reads,
”For God, who gives seed to the farmer to plant, and later on good crops to harvest and eat, will give you more and more seed to plant and will make it grow so that you can give away more and more fruit from your harvest. Yes, God will give you much so that you can give away much, and when we take your gifts to those who need them they will break out into thanksgiving and praise to God for your help.”
It is not the amount of the financial gift. No seed is too small, it is as you purpose in your heart based on the Word of God. God’s Word is our true seed, the financial gift is our natural seed. We know that if you are faithful to give the little it won’t be long and you will be giving much. How do we know this, God said he would give you much so you can give much!
Second, we must give cheerfully. II Corinthians 9:7 states,
”Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.”
You must give cheerfully or you will not see the fruit of your giving. Therefore, should your giving become burdensome, it is our desire that you contact our office and discontinue your giving.
