Together Stronger: Church Merger Announcement

posted 19 Sep 2007 in church news

Kingdom Faith Manchester (KFM) and World Harvest Bible Church (WHBC) are set to become one vibrant church! Over the summer the preparations will lead to combined services beginning Sunday, the 2nd of September 2007.

Just as in a “marriage” – God is bringing together two strong church families to have a greater influence for the kingdom of God. Pastors Alan Morton and Matthew Beemer have been regularly meeting to pray together over the past two years and this has led to a strong and trusting relationship between the two pastors. In addition, there has been a realisation of the similarity of each church’s vision and recognition that their differing gifts and graces compliment each other – that together they are stronger.

WHBC’s Founding/Senior Pastors Matthew and Julie Beemer will remain the overseers of the entire ministry with all its varied outreaches, while Pastors Alan and Claire Morton will be the Senior Associate Pastors with primary responsibility for the pastoral care and development of the church congregation.

Exceeding 500 members, the new church will operate under the World Harvest Bible Church name and be based in Salford Quays. Pastors Colin and Clive Urquhart, having been consulted throughout the discussion process, are fully supportive of the coming together of the two congregations which will lead to a natural closeness and more vital relationship between Kingdom Faith and World Harvest Bible Church over the months and years to come.
