This Weeks Chapters: Romans 9 -13
Pastor Matt Beemer
Ro 10:13-15
For "whoever calls on the name of the LORD shall be saved." 14 How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher? 15 And how shall they preach unless they are sent? As it is written: "How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace, Who bring glad tidings of good things!"
After running today, when I was changing my shoes I noticed an ‘interesting smell’ – actually it was more of a cloud of strange gas – coming from my trainers; it wasn’t nice.
In the physical realm, feet that are put to work get hot, perspire, and can really get to smelling. However in the things of God, smelly feet are those which do nothing!
In this passage there are four very important questions. Take a minute and read these out loud, and then think about the answer.
What answer did you come up with? The answer to each of these questions is not, ‘They Won’t’ – instead the answer to each of these enlightening questions is – ‘They Can’t!’
The truth we learn is that a person cannot call on the Lord unless they believe; they cannot believe unless they hear; they cannot hear without a preacher; and preachers need to be sent.
Reversing the order we see it in the positive… When the church sends people to the unreached nations, the nations will hear the gospel. When they hear the Gospel, faith comes to their hearts and they believe on Jesus. When they believe on Jesus, they will call on His Name and they will be saved. This order of things is beautiful to God. However, if at any time this order is interrupted, it begins to ‘stink’… Although, if we all do our part in the process, we the church has beautiful feet!
Let’s live to bring God Glory and do our part to either go, or send – or both!

interesting so maybe in the physical realm smelly feet are not such a bad thing after all, i.e if they belong to a preacher… No that’s no acceptable excuse Pastor Matt get some of those deoderisers or u can use the traditional method of putting a newspaper in those trainers.lol.
On the real though its a good message and thinking how do my feet smell in the presence of God are they dedicated to doing what God wants them to be doing.

We can always rely on Pastor Matt when it comes to a tremendous ‘feet’ of excellence. These words keep us ‘in-step’ with the Lord :o). A case also of ‘The Scholl of the Bible’ perhaps?
