This Week’s Chapters: Matthew 6 - 10
Pastor Matt Beemer
In Matthew 8:17, the writer is quoting Isaiah 53. He tells us that Jesus is the fulfilment of Isaiah 53. As such Jesus 'Himself took our infirmities, and bore our sicknesses.'
When I read this verse I especially like to emphasise two words: 'our' and 'bore'.
Think about the word 'our'. Both you and I are included in that word 'our'. Read this verse over and over to yourself and keep emphasising the word 'our' - knowing that it's speaking personally about you.
Once you're utterly convinced Matthew 8:17 is speaking to you - because it is - then look at the word 'bore'. Jesus 'bore' something. What was it? As you mediate on this verse, you'll find that He has taken all sickness away from you! If He 'bore' it, then that means you do not have to 'bear' it!
The next question to ask is WHEN did He bear it (I trust this is beginning to sink into your spirit)? If Jesus has (2000 years ago) borne all sickness and disease away from your life, that means today you are free from all sickness and disease!
No matter what your symptoms say, no matter what your feelings say, agree with the Word of God. Speak out what Jesus did for you all those years ago. If He's taken it, then you don't have it (also read 1 Peter 2:24, Isaiah 53:4-5)!

Great Word Pastor Matt, I have been reading Brother Hagin’s book, “Health Food” his daily readings. He says on pg 69 that when we read somthing in God’s Word and “somthing starts to leap and jump on the inside of you! That is your spirit getting excited. Your spirit knows you are on the right road.” “God heals you through your spirit” “So when your head doesn’t understand some things, your spirit will just be thrilled.” when I read , “Sick, No more” my spirit leaped inside me - Even though symptoms want to yell at me that healing can’t be mine I choose to believe Is 53, James 8:17, and 1st Peter 2:24 - plus other great scriptures. I came to realize that receiving healing is just like receiving Salvation. Sometimes we don’t feel any different but it doesn’t change the Fact that we are Saved. And no matter what I FEEL , I declare , I AM HEALED JUST THE SAME AS I AM SAVED. - Great Word Pastor Matt - thanks, mom

Dear Pastor Matt
Talk about a word in season! Over the last 3 weeks I have been suffering in my body and have had tests etc. for bowel cancer. Fear has tried to grip me and thoughts about the future for my darling husband and my precious children. However Knowing from past experiences of a similar nature I know to stand on the Word of a TRUE and Living God that His word never changes. So despite the symptoms of pain and nausea etc, I stand and have stood. This morning in my time with the Lord the Scripture gripped my heart, “By His stripes I am healed. Full stop!!!!
The Scripture came to me, “As a man thinks so he is”. My thoughts where taking hold of me and filling me with fear. I chose not to dwell on negative things but only to dwell on the truth of The Mighty Word of God. This morning when the post came I recognised the letter from the NHS and knew the results where there. I picked up the letter and prayed that whatever the results where, I was going to trust in You Lord and Your Truth that I am healed. I opened the letter and praise the Lord, my results where clear. No bowel cancer. God is so good and True. So thank you Pastor Matt for encouraging us in the wonderful truth of our amazing God

hello Pastor Matt
yes, yes, yes, I have been listening to Colin Urquhart’s tape this week called, Healing, and these same words where dropped into my spirit, when Jesus took all our sickness and disease, we don;t have it , and we don’t have to accept what ever trys to come upon us. It lifts me up knowing that I can speak out and God do’s the work, in his word.

Moving on to chapter 9 there are some wonderful examples of healing where faith has been the key to receiving healing. Jesus says to the sick woman ,’you faith has healed you’. To the two blind men he says, ‘Do you believe that I am able to do this?’ ‘Yes Lord’ they reply. ‘Then according to your faith will it be done to you.’ In chapter 8 we have also seen the great faith of the centurion.
The disciples would have seen all these miraculous healings and evil spirits being driven out of the demon possessed. Then comes the challenge in chapter 10 and it is the challenge for all of us.Jesus gives them the authority to drive out evil spirits and to heal every disease and sickness and what is more- to go with no money or possessions ( living by faith !) I am sending you like sheep among wolves. As our spirits leap as we gain understanding of Jesus taking all our sicknesses and diseases and we hold onto that promise are we ready to step out with the 12 and the 70 in Luke 10 into a broken world and be channels of Gods healing power?
My prayer for me and I expect for many others is that we grow in our faith and in boldness that we
can follow Jesus example. Luke 9 v 11 ‘He welcomed them and spoke to them about the Kingdom of God and healed those who needed healing’

Ann, I’m so proud of you! Especially the way you approached the letter from the NHS. Many pray that the test will come back negative – but when it turns out positive they loose heart and give up on their faith in God’s healing power. Just because they get a letter in the post!
You know better -
and as you so boldly put it......’Whatever the results where, I was going to trust in You Lord and Your Truth that I am healed.’.......
THAT’S TRUE FAITH! True faith in God’s Word says - no matter what the circumstances say, I believe God’s Word. No matter how much it hurts, God’s Word is still true! No matter how long it takes to see a change, God’s Word is still true! That’s the kind of faith that moves mountains, wins nations to Jesus and brings healing to the needy! You are a real blessing and add my faith to yours in agreement that Jesus is YOUR HEALER! Pastor Matt

Sharon & Judy,
Both of your comments blessed me! It’s great to know you are feeding you faith Sharon on one of the best ministers in this nation/world! Keep it up!
Judy, it’s obvious you are in the Word as your email is full of faith and scriptures - well done! As you know, faith comes by hearing the Word! You are feeding your faith and as you continue to exercise it, it will grow and grow.... ‘from faith to faith, and glory to glory.’
Keep fighting the good fight of faith - Pastor Matt

Hellooooo Pastor Matt!
This is a REALLY encouraging word. And its sooo needed, when you look around at churches in England, and across the world today that are so dead, there is no life, no signs and wonders that are suposed to follow the Word…
The awesome thing that has struck me about this weeks chapters is that the healing is given as freely as the salvation, salvation as freely as healing. The same work on the cross that took our sins took our sickness. Why is it people doubt healing when they believe their sins are fogiven...? Both were accomplished at once. Its such a trick and a lie that God doesnt heal anymore, its like saying He doesn’t save anymore.
RIDICULOUS!!!
Thank you again, Becci.

Dear Becci
My thoughts exactly. Salvation works - so does healing etc etc etc.
The Truth is the Truth. End or beginning of story.
Praise God
