Feed Help and FAQs

What are Feeds?
RSS feeds allow you to see when websites have added new content. You can get the latest information as soon as its published, without having to visit the websites you have taken the feed from. WHBC currently offers 3 different feeds; News & Announcements, Upcoming Events, and our Audio Podcast.

How can I make use of them?
You can subscribe to our feeds by email, through feed-readers or directly in your browser. If you use a web-based feed-reader, click on the 'feedburner' links above to subscribe to that feed in your chosen reader. If you want to subscribe via email (you'll get an email whenever we add new content), click the 'subscribe by email' links above. If you wish to subscribe by adding a live bookmark directly in your browser (we recommend Firefox), click on the 'raw feed' links. If you don't know what to do, we recommend subscribing via email.

Tell me more about subscribing via email.
By subscribing by email you will recieve a quick update in your inbox, whenever there is new content added. If there isn't any new content, you won't get an email. click the 'subscribe via email' links to do just that.

What about the podcast?
you can subscribe directly to our podcast using iTunes, which will automatically download new messages to your computer whenever they are available. you can then add these messages to your mp3 player or iPod.

I'm still confused.
You could try looking at the BBC's page on feeds, or check out the Wikipedia entry. For more info on podcasts, see this information from Apple. the end.
