This Weeks Chapters: Romans 14 - 1 Cor 2
Pastor Julie Beemer
Hopefully you are enjoying these chapters as much as I am!! Chapter 3 has really stood out to me during this time of transition like never before.
Look at what the Message Bible says. I have added a little bit here and there
...
I Cor 3:5-10 [Message Bible] :
Who do you think Pastor Matt & Julie are, anyway? Or Pastor Alan & Claire, for that matter? Servants, all of us - servants who waited on you as you gradually learned to entrust your lives to our mutual Master. We all carried out our servant assignment. We planted the seed, Pastor Alan & Claire will water the plants, but God makes you grow. It's not the one who plants or the one who waters who is at the centre of this process but God, who makes you grow. Planting and watering are menial servant jobs at minimum wages. What makes them worth doing is the God we are serving. You happen to be God's field in which we are working.
Or, to put it another way, you are God's house. Using the gift God gave us as a good architect, we designed blueprints; Pastor Alan & Claire are putting up the walls. Let each (of you) carpenters who come on the job take care to build on the foundation! Remember, there is only one foundation, the one already laid: Jesus Christ. Take particular care in picking out your building materials. Eventually there is going to be an inspection. If you use cheap or inferior materials, you'll be found out. The inspection will be thorough and rigorous. You won't get by with a thing. If your work passes inspection, fine; if it doesn't, your part of the building will be torn out and started over. But you won't be torn out; you'll survive—but just barely.
It’s wonderful to be part of such an incredible, well-built house!! I think we are going to get a big commendation!! Thank you so much WHBC for allowing us to help God build this church!! What a privilege for us. To each of you who have come alongside of us we thank you from our hearts. Continue to build this church with the best materials as you have.
Those of you who haven’t got stuck in – come on!! What are you waiting for? Come join us. I don’t want you to miss out!!

Breathing Daily with God is an opportunity for the Pastors to share their thoughts on the chapters we have been reading in our daily bible reading plan.Email this to a friend | Add A Comment | Bookmark | Subscribe

Oh Pastor Julie thank you and pastor Matt for being faithful servants. you know me, my sister Tendayi who comes after me and Gamu the youngest all got saved at WHBC. and following from that we impacted the lives of others. because you were so faithful… keep on keeping on and you know i was reading about Lot’s wife, and the importance of not looking back just struck me. And even though you built our lovely WHBC now its time to move forward. and its the same for us all, its time to move forward. Its not about “but” we never “did” it like that before, Its time to move forward to greater things in Christ Jesus not looking back.
I also encourage everyone to get stuck in, you know sometimes people think oh i am not ready oh I will miss out. But God knows you, He knows what you need and He will never let you miss out. Like PJ says “what are you waiting for”

Dearest Pastor Julie
Could not resist penning a few words. Your message is very true and encouraging to all. We love you both and know that God is furthering His work through your precious and faithful ministry.
God is blessing all your ministries because the foundation is built on Christ the SOLID rock, which will never be moved.
Bless you Pastors Alan and Claire as you continue the great work that the Lord has called you to.
Love you all

I just thank God that we have such wonderful faithful, world shakers/changers in our Church! I feel so blessed to have been watered by such hands of grace/love and wisdom! Let God now start to produce the fruit through the willing vessils - I am willing to stand!
I thank God for Pastor Matt & Pastor Julie for taking faithful God ordered steps. He has already unrolled the blue-print and scattered the seed for you - we are a multicultural church with families already out there ready for you to water. God Bless you and your family.
The vessils that are left here are ready and well able to do all things under the Leadership of Pastors Alan & Claire, and the people said.... AMEN and AMEN!!
