Lowry Christmas Outreach ‘08

posted 12 Jan 2009 in event review | 2 comments

Once again we were given the fantastic opportunity to take Jesus to the people in our Lowry Christmas Outreach - and what a success it was! We had repeat customers at the gift wrap, people asking about the church (and now coming), and most importantly a lot of fun!

We linked in with the Shopping Centre, O2, Francis House, Fibre Hairdressing and - for the first time - New Life Church which meets in the Cinema.

As usual we had two events going on at the same time - with carols being sung heartily and a free gift wrap service (and although no money was asked for we saw over £360 raised!). All this goes to the Francis House Hospice charity which the Shopping Centre supports.

This is all part of a longer term vision which will see a full blown carol service being held in the Shopping Centre - so if you want to be involved in 2009, make sure you sign up in the autumn! the end.
