This Week’s Chapters: 2 Cor 7-11
Pastor Julie Beemer
II Corinthians 8:10 (Message)
So here's what I think: The best thing you can do right now is to finish what you started and not let those good intentions grow stale. Your heart's been in the right place all along. You've got what it takes to finish it up, so go to it. Once the commitment is clear, you do what you can, not what you can't. The heart regulates the hands.
What a tremendous time this past week at Faith Camp ’09! Being away from our normal routines and in His presence gives God a wide open door to our hearts to do what ever He needs to do.
I love times like these. Times that we devote ourselves to hearing from God. Times when we ask God to speak to our hearts about specific areas, or maybe He shines a light on a hidden room in our heart. Times like these allow God to give new instructions, redirect former decisions, or bring out in the open that reserved area you’ve kept hidden to yourself.
I know from experience, if we don’t act quickly on what God speaks to our hearts it can slip away. When God speaks to our hearts we will always have opportunity to reason ourselves out of Gods instruction, slide back into that wrong direction we were headed, or allow newly enlightened areas of our heart to go back into hiding. To ensure we do not loose the power of what God has spoken to our heart, it is so important that we act on what He has spoken to us. What is in our hearts must have corresponding action to bear fruit in our lives.
Can I encourage everyone today who has had God minister something to their heart (whether at Faith Camp or not) in any area such as: Relationships, motives, commitment, finance, forgiveness, eating, health, children, boldness, submission, keeping old promises, making new ones, honour, reaching out to others, telling others about God’s love, letting go, new goals, etc. make up your mind to Just Do It! And DO IT QUICKLY!! Don’t wait another second. Be quick to do His Word.
Maybe you would like to make yourself accountable today by telling us what God has ministered to your heart, and what you are doing in response.

- Beth Great Word Julie!
- Pastor Claire Just reading Proverbs 4 today. Sometimes we don't "do it" because we think we have not heard God but v11 says He will guide you in the way of wisdom and lead you along straight paths. It then goes on to say in v12 that your walking steps will not be hampered and your running steps will not cause you to stumble!

Why do we procrastinate? Let's do it, whether walking or running God is making the path straight!
