He wanted perfect unity with man, a loving relationship, a walking together.
It was time for action, time to lay the cards on the table and He found Isaiah ready and willing to speak on His behalf (see Chapter 6).
In the middle of everything destructive, God brings an amazing word – that a Son would be born. Not just any son but a Son with an amazing destiny.
We read these chapters and we see the hope. We see so clearly that Isaiah was prophesying about Jesus.
• The virgin will be with child and give birth to a son (7:14ff)
• For to us a child is born, to us a son is given (9:6ff)
• A shoot will come up from the stump of Jesse (11:1ff)
These are amazing passages written years before Jesus was born but so accurately describe Him and the events that will take place.
In 9:6 we read that He not only will be a Son but that He is God. He will be called:
• Everlasting Father – God the Father
• Prince of Peace – God the Son
• Wonderful Counsellor – God the Holy Spirit
• Mighty God
God wants to speak to you to but you need to be ready and willing. Why was Isaiah able to be so accurate:
• He had met with God and had repented (6:5-7).
• He was available (6:8)
• He did not follow the way of other people but he feared God (8:11-22)
This week take time to listen to God, make yourself available for Him to speak to you. Prayer is a 2-way conversation! Have a notebook and a pen handy to write down anything God is saying to you, even if it is just a feeling or one word. Make sure you date it. The more you practice listening to God, the more readily you will recognise His voice.

Breathing Daily with God is an opportunity for the Pastors to share their thoughts on the chapters we have been reading in our daily bible reading plan.Email this to a friend | Add A Comment | Bookmark | Subscribe

- Becci Nice one Pastor Claire!
- Karen S Excellent word and advice Pastor Claire.
- Dave One of the greatest verses, look at the names that Christ has,Prince of Peace, Wonderful Counsellor. Fortold in the Old Testament and completed in the New Testement
- Martin K Thank you so much for this, Pastor Claire, this is a massive encouragement. He is indeed the Prince of Peace. That's so crucial for people to know right now, whether saved or unsaved - with so much turmoil around the world; natural disasters; financial systems spiralling out of control, and a General Election coming up here in the UK where almost anything could happen, even a hung parliament which would cause total atrophy. So here's good news: He will keep us in perfect peace, provided our hearts are steadfast towards Him. Blessings all, Martin :o).
- Kasia Thank you Pastor Claire
This is so true!
It can be so hard to stop and listen in the busy way we lead our lives.
And then people say they can't hear God speak!
Everyone needs to take time out to stop and listen!!!

I often think that I should carry around a notebook/journal to write down but it never happens but I purpose to from now on. I believe that God is trying to speak to me but I have been to busy prattling on at him about this and that to be able to here his voice/leading.
These are challenging times we are living in and it is in our favor to be attentive to the voice of the Holy Spirit to help and guide us through those difficult times. God Bless our Pastors.Amen!

Since the time in Training Centre when you and Pastor Alan taught us to write down what God is speaking to us in our time with Him I do it on regular basis.
And it’s amazing how much does He say to me. And it's so full of love and encouragement.
Radek gave me beautiful notebook and it's now record of my conversation with my Daddy.
