This Week’s Chapters: Revelation 3 – 7
Pastor Claire Morton
I recently studied Revelation while taking part in a Way of the Spirit course and I noticed some amazing promises that I had never seen before in Revelation 2 & 3. At the end of each section about the 7 churches God addresses those “who overcome”.
In 1 John 4v4 we read that we have overcome because Jesus lives in us, this means that all these promises are for us.
Rev 2v7: to those who love God … the right to eat from the tree of life;
2v11: to those who are persecuted … you shall not be hurt by the second death;
2v17: to those who hold firm to the Word of God … you shall be given hidden bread (more and more revelation) and a new name, Christ’s name;
2v26: to those who do not give in to corruption and do His Will to the end … you shall be given power over the nations;
3v5: to those made alive in Christ … you will be clothed in white garments and your name kept in the Book of Life and your name will be confessed before the Father by Jesus;
3v12: to those who are faithful … you will be honoured in the temple of God;
3v21: to those who hear his voice and answer … you will be given a place on the throne with the Father and the Son.
God’s promises are so wonderful to us and as you continue to press on in your walk with God remember these are for you.
I would love to hear which verse stands out to you as you breathe daily with God this week!

I like the promise about the nations! Isn`t it amazing how God sees everything we do. Sometimes we wonder if it`s worth persevering in certain areas, but these promises show that God rewards us for endurance and the attitudes of our heart.
Preach it Sis!

Today as I read Rev 5 v 9, I was so blessed. We are redeemed TO God by Jesus blood OUT of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation. What a mighty celebration of God’s grace and goodness, as we worship together.

All wonderful promises, Pastor Claire. Hard to choose. However at the present time verse 12, to those who are faithful..... you will be honoured in the temple of God. Faithfulness to the Lord in every situation, when the flesh screams out at you, give up! and other negative thoughts your spirit shouts out loudly,” Faithful to the end. Jesus is honoured in all heaven and earth because he was faithful and obedient to His father, and we are born of Him. Faithfulness runs in the blood. Bless you Pastor Claire.
