WHBC has committed precious time and resources to support Martin's ongoing leadership team involvement with Hope 08, a matter hugely appreciated by the Hope Team nationally and WHBC's commitment to Hope 08 is reflected in the Hope Resources manual (now the highest selling Christian publication in the UK).
Martin had the privilege of presenting HRH (whom he had met once before whilst on Shaftesbury's Executive Team) with the work of Greater Manchester's churches under the Hope 08 banner. He also presented the Hope National Schools Challenge, a competition which Martin helped instigate, which has now gone out across all of the nation's High Schools as part of Hope 08, culminating in a high-profile national award ceremony in February 2009.
