This Weeks Chapters: 2 Cor 7 – 11

Last week Pastor Julie wrote about walking by Faith and having the same Spirit of Faith because of the opportunities ahead of us. 2 Cor 9 v8 speaks to me about how I walk into these things … by grace!
“God is able to make ALL grace abound to you, so that in ALL things at ALL times, having ALL that you need, you will abound in EVERY good work”
These scriptures are about so much more than financial giving. They speak about that attitude of giving for every aspect of our lives. In every way … at all times … abounding!
I first learned about tithing when I was in debt – the weeks I tithed I had something left at the end to repay the debt – the weeks I didn’t tithe my debts increased. Giving the full tithe ceased to be an option and became a necessity.
But the big breakthrough for me came when I really started to give beyond that basic level. Again it started from a time of being in debt! It is funny how God uses times of desperate need to bring about our greatest revelations and breakthroughs. Claire and I increased our giving, including having people live with our family rent free, exercised our spirit of self control over our credit cards and took hold of 2 Cor 9 v10 “He who supplies seed to the sower … will also supply and increase your store of seed … you will be made rich … so that you can be generous”
Over the next two years we saw the gradual increase of our store of seed and major financial breakthroughs personally.
Since then Claire and I have learned to exercise that same spirit of faith in lots of other areas. Our store of love is becoming ever greater as we pray for more people on a regular basis. Our store of peace is becoming greater as we keep speaking grace over situations within the church. Our store of joy is becoming greater as we keep thinking well of one another during this time of transition.
We have learned to be over-comers in every situation. Not that we feel like it! But from the store inside us (the Holy Spirit!!) we know that ALL GRACE – the God given power needed to do the things that need doing – ABOUNDS.
God has chosen to make known among the Gentiles the glorious riches of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory. (Col 1 v27)

I was just sat here saying to Tiri, I need strength and grace to continue to help all the people that God wants me to help. And then thought in the next instance, let me just catch up with wats on here and it was just wat i needed to hear. Even about tithing because sometimes i feel so stretched i just think God understand i can’t do it.. how wrong is that. God and can’t do in the same breath. Ofcourse He knows that I can do because He has and shall give me all that i need to do..

i know that god loves me because he is calling me to do some awsome things today. god is just so amazing the way he has impacted my life i feel that i have just completly changed i want to chanllege myself by making myself want to step out in faith and just go for what god wants me to do. we stand with god in any situation and he has got some awsome things he wants to do in people lives around differant countries. We know that god has sent many of people on mission trips to go and preach in differant churches. we pray safty for pastor matt and family that they will stay safe wherever they travel.

Just a praise report relating to the Sunday Service from a couple of weeks ago. Pastor Alan
had the children pray for whoever needed it. I stood up for prayer for finances. It was my two younger sons aged 10 and 8 who ended up praying for me and saying something like “There’s the provision you need”.
About 10 days afterwards we had a very favourable decision go our way financially, which more than provided for what we needed to come through a tough time.
Thank you for going ahead and getting the children to pray. It will encourage their faith as well as ours.
