Let’s keep on track

Good Afternoon wonderful worship team,

There are a few important notices that I need to get to you all. Most will have got this as an email but it is also posted here for reference.

Firstly though I just wanted to say how great you all are and how excited I am to see what God is doing in each of your lives and in the team as a whole. We have definitely been moving forward with some pace in the last 12 months and I am really pleased with how each of you has embraced the changes we have put in place and got on with adapting your lives to do what God is asking of us. If you think the last 12 months have been fast and furious then hold on to your seats because the next 12 are going to be even more exciting and impacting!! Not only will we have the prophetic and spontaneous being released regularly from each person in the team but there will be the CD recording, worship leaders trained up to name but a few!!

To keep us on track there are some reminders to work to:

  1. Come prepared – this has been the repeated message for months now – ‘proficient in private, proficient in public’. Don’t lose sight of this and remind yourselves to spend time in worship before any time you are on stage – God might just want to use you even more!!
  2. No files – the time has come when we have to get rid of all the files and that includes everyone, singers (who have done an amazing job), musicians (some need to catch up to the example shown by the singers), worship leaders (we have to set the example). There are to be no exceptions to this and so starting this weekend there will be no stands on the stage at all.
  3. Express your worship – we all need to remember that people follow people so if we are going for it then so will the congregation. Front line singers are vital to this so step forward, be bold and give it your all!!
  4. Be on guard – we have the victory through what Jesus has done but we do need to continually pray for each other – a lot of things have happened to many of the team or their family so just keep enforcing the victory that is ours.
  5. Be on time – In order to get the service right and to honour each other and the rest of the church we do need to raise our level on this. The sound checks start at 9am and 5pm on a Sunday and we will only have until 9:45am or 5:45pm so if we are waiting on people then we will not be able to check the sound levels or practice the songs.
  6. Stay to the end – We want to be people who run the whole course and not just part of it. Going forward the band will be required at the end of the service to do a song so if you have already left then it wont look good.
  7. Be a team – In order to get things looking excellent we need to all be walking onto the stage at the same time and from the same place. Therefore can we go back to all sitting in the same block of chairs (behind the Pastors) and everyone needs to be ready at 10:25am in those seats so we can go up onto stage together in one group.
  8. Be involved – As the sound check ends at 9:45am this will give you 15mins to get yourself ready (toilets etc) whilst the leaders meet to discuss the service plan. At 10am all team members who are on stage that week must be part of the pre service prayer meeting – this again cannot have any exceptions.

Sunday Morning Service Plan:
Pre 9am – Prepare yourself
9am – Soundcheck begins
9:45am – Leader’s meeting / Personal prep time
10am – Prayer meeting
10:15am – Personal prep time
10:25am – In seats ready
10:27am – Team walks onto stage together
10:30am – Service begins
11:55am – Final Song
12pm – End of Service

I appreciate this is long but hopefully it will help you to stay focused on the end goal and how to get there!!

Cheers,
Mark
