To make a noticeable change or effect

Romans 5:18-19 (The Message)

Here it is in a nutshell: Just as one person did it wrong and got us in all this trouble with sin and death, another person did it right and got us out of it. But more than just getting us out of trouble, he got us into life! One man said no to God and put many people in the wrong; one man said yes to God and put many in the right.

There are some portions of the bible that I just love to read, and this is one of those scriptures. Don’t get me wrong the entire bible is awesome – but there are certain scriptures that for myself personally – just jump out to me , they are so real to me. Romans 5:19 is one of those. It provides a sober warning and an awesome encouragement all at the same time.

One man (Adam) did it wrong – and that wrong action had a negative effect on others, on literally MILLIONS of others, One man (Jesus) did it right – and that action had a positive effect on MILLIONS of others.

You WILL have an influence on other people around you. Whether in the negative or positive you WILL have an influence on people around you. No person lives in a vacuum – you are interacting with – influencing and being influenced by other people EVERY DAY.

God has called YOU to be a person of influence, to be a person who does it right. In every area of your life – whether it be the local corner shop, your workplace, the gym you go to or your family. Wherever it maybe GOD has called you to be a person of influence.

I have set a goal that every day I will make a GOD difference in someone’s life. Even if its only saying to someone crossing the street “Be blessed today” sometimes that’s all that’s needed to make a GOD difference in another person. (I’ve seen the positive impact those three words can do!) Say yes to HIM today, say yes to a life of influence today, say yes to making a GOD difference today, in fact just get used to saying YES to HIM , and see what a GOD difference you can make today.

It is the difference of ONE.
